How does the game work?
Auricularia will be a typical Metroidvania game. In concrete terms, this means: a large, coherent environment, many levels that branch out from each other, which can theoretically all be played one after the other and in a random order. However, in order not to make it too easy for the player, there are inaccessible areas that can only be expanded by developing the abilities of the main character (MC).
You can see a simple flowchart to explain the gameplay more easily.
The player starts with a non-playable opening sequence that explains why he is here. After that comes a tutorial - this MUST be played and is unavoidable - and only after that comes the main story, in which the player can move freely.
Additionally, there will be three different endings depending on the player's play style.
